Learn Thai Language
From my arrival in Thailand I found the prospect of learning the language a must. I wanted to enjoy the foods on the Thai menus, wanted to read the road signs, wanted to understand this wonderful and enchanting country and culture by communicating with the Thai people. So I bought a few phrase books and some very good ones (e.g. Benjawan) but struggled with all of the different spellings, and phonics etc. so it was really quite difficult to make sense of it all.
It wasn’t until I returned from Koh Chang after failing at Bangsai tree house restaurant, while looking for work, the in laws gave me a kids writing book, and I committed to learning 3 letters a day, starting with the consonants. After a little while I could start to see shapes become pictures, become words, and slowly menus, number plates, road names all started making sense!!!
After 24 year of learning and using the Thai language I am fluent in central Thai and developing my skills in the related dialects such as ‘kam muang’ northern Thai and Lao – issan.. so I am able to also provide you with support in dialects and localisms…

English is the global language and continues to grow in its presence. Develop your English skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing with an experienced Thai speaking instructor, either online, face-to-face or using a blend of both. Basic knowledge is provided through our Coolwinds Learning digital learning platform with games and tests to practice with and show you your learning progress. Theses skills are then developed in person with our instructor.
